The Strategic Plan's Underlying Pillars

  • Description: This includes enhancing cooperation between quality assurance agencies at the regional and international levels to share experiences and best practices and utilizing joint relationships to improve quality standards at the Arab level.
  • Strategic objective: To build an effective network of cooperation that contributes to raising the quality of higher education in the Arab region.

  • Several regional and international agreements and partnerships signed.
  • Some workshops, seminars, and conferences.

Development of regional quality assurance

Description: This aspect is based on supporting regional practices and standards to ensure the quality of higher education, taking into account international changes and developments and adapting them to the Arab context.

Strategic objective: To support regional practices and standards in line with international standards and to assist in the coherence of quality assurance processes in the Arab region.

Performance indicators

  • Holding workshops that discuss the development of quality and accreditation standards.
  • Seminars related to the dissemination of outstanding practices for quality assurance processes.
  • Number of joint initiatives and events organized by the Network in cooperation with Arab bodies and organizations.

Number of institutions and bodies benefiting from the Network’s services and guidance.

Preparation and Planning Composition of task forces:

Establish a strategic committee of representatives of national quality bodies and experts in higher education. Defining the roles and responsibilities of each Committee member. Send invitations to participate, schedule meetings, and develop a coordination plan.

Identifying strategic objectives:

Review the network’s vision, message, and values to identify appropriate goals. SWOT analysis to identify challenges and opportunities. Conduct a workshop to identify strategic objectives in consultation with members. Document objectives and develop performance indicators for each goal.

Schedule preparation:

Timetable for scheduling the implementation of each phase. Identify the resources required for each activity. Use a project management tool to assign tasks and track progress.

Consultation with members and partners Feedback Collection:

Disseminate questionnaires to gather members’ views on the network’s current role, their perceptions of this role, and the challenges it faces. Organization of a consultative meeting (virtual) with representatives of Member States. Invite regional and international partners to contribute to more efficient implementation of the strategic objectives. Meetings with donors and financiers to explore possible support for activities. Meet with partners and financiers to exchange ideas and ensure financial and human resources.

Feedback Analysis:

Analysis of data obtained to identify needs and recommendations. Extract the essential points to modify the current proposal according to the outputs of this analysis. Update the strategic plan proposal based on feedback and evaluation results.

Implementation

Launch of training programs:

Launch an awareness campaign to learn about the contents of the new strategic plan.

Develop operational plans to ensure the implementation of the plan’s strategic pillars and objectives.

Workshops to enhance skills and exchange experiences

Preparation of cooperation plans between the Network and the supporting parties.

Preparation and presentation of training materials in virtual and virtual sessions.

Hosting international experts to provide technical and training support.

Follow-up and evaluation

Periodic assessments:

Preparation of biannual reports to assess progress.

Establishment of a strategic committee of representatives of national quality bodies.

Establishing operational plans (Operational Plans) with a specific timetable for each stage.

Identify the resources required for each activity.

Using an appropriate digital tool (application) to manage projects, distribute tasks, and track progress.

Invite regional and international partners.
